Old-Fashioned Honey Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey

  • 3 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg

  • 1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie pastry

 

Directions
Set the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees C). In a 9-inch pie pan, press the pastry.


Using a saucepan, bring honey to a boil. Take the pan off the heat, then immediately whisk in the eggs. Add butter, vanilla, nutmeg, and pecans by stirring. Fill the pie pan with the liquid.

Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the mixture is set.

Tips

If preferred, you can use an 8-inch pie pan.
