Cider Donut Bread Pudding

  • 6 day-old cider donuts, broken into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 large apple - peeled, cored, and chopped

  • 1 ½ cups half-and-half

  • ¼ cup white sugar

  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, or more to taste (Optional)


Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Cooking spray should be used to grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

In the baking dish that has been prepared, combine the apple and doughnut pieces.

In a bowl, combine half-and-half, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and let it set for about 15 minutes while occasionally stirring to allow the liquid to absorb.

For around 30 minutes, bake in the preheated oven until golden.

Take out of the oven, then allow to cool for 15 minutes. Add a maple syrup drizzle.
