2 cups white sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup baking cocoa
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts (Optional)
¼ cup confectioners' sugar
4 teaspoons water
Set oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish sparingly.
In a bowl, mash together the white sugar, flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. In a small bowl, combine the oil, eggs, corn syrup, and vanilla essence. Add walnuts after stirring the egg mixture into the flour mixture. Spread into the baking pan you've prepared.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted close to the center comes out clean.
Pour a glaze made of confectioners' sugar, water, and vanilla over warm brownies.
